Charley Crockett recently announced a new album, Dollar a Day, that comes out on August 8 via Island. The Texas country musician has now shared the lead single, “Crucified Son,” which you can check out below, along with the new album’s trailer.

The 15-track Dollar a Day is Crockett’s second album of 2025, following March’s Lonesome Drifter. According to a press release, the albums are part of a trilogy called The Sagebrush Trilogy.

Like Lonesome Drifter, Dollar a Day was co-produced by Crockett and Shooter Jennings. They recorded the album at the storied Sunset Sound Studio 3 in Hollywood, California. “With Shooter, I’ve never felt more like myself in the studio,” Crockett stated in press materials. “I don’t feel judged. At all. It’s truly a partnership. Hell, I’d say he’s my best friend, and you can’t aspire to greatness without that kind of trust. With Lonesome Drifter, it felt like we opened the portal. With Dollar a Day, we stepped through and came out the other side.”

Beginning in September, Crockett will go on tour with Leon Bridges. He has shows coming up soon this summer, too.
