Chris Brain reveals details of upcoming album, Red Sun Rising

The new record follows previous full-length releases Bound to Rise (2022), Steady Away (2023), and New Light (2025), and sees Chris Brain navigating yearning, restlessness, and the desire to change. Today, he shares title track "Red Sun Rising", alongside a video capturing a live performance of the track.

Speaking on the album, Brain shares: “Red Sun Rising is my forthcoming album, with the rising sun symbolising new life and fresh beginnings. At its core, it’s about hope and the feeling that something is waiting just around the corner, if I truly believe it. The songs lean into the repetitive rituals of life such as watching the sun rise or looking out onto the horizon, while also touching on the complexities that shape each of our individual paths. In the end, the red sun will always rise in the east and set in the west, a reminder that in the face of mortality, we all want the same things from life.”
