Claypool Lennon Delirium share “WAP,” announce Claypool Gold tour w/ Primus & Fearless Flying Frog Brigade

Les Claypool is taking three of his projects, Primus, The Claypool Lennon Delirium, and Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, on a joint tour this summer. A press release calls “Claypool Gold” “one mind-melting musical experience,” adding, “Each night, all the bands will share the stage all at once for a fluid show featuring wildly different setlists and surprises.” Shows begin on May 20 in Reno, NV and run through July 4 in Napa, CA. There’s no NYC show, but Claypool Gold stops in Asbury Park, NJ on June 13 at Stone Pony Summer Stage. Tickets to that and all dates go on sale Friday, January 23 at 10 AM local, with various presales starting Wednesday, January 21 at 10 AM local.

The Claypool Lennon Delirium (with is Les’ project with Sean Ono Lennon) also have a new single, “WAP,” which is not a cover of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s 2020 banger. This “WAP” stands for “What a Predicament,” and it begins with Sean singing, “Like a president caught in shenanigans with the beauty queen, I’m guessing they may not be so innocent as they’d have us believe.” Listen below.
