Cloonee Releases Long-Awaited Tech-House Heater, “I Rhyme Quick”

After teasing the track in his sets for 18 months and building anticipation around it, Cloonee has finally released his rendition of “I Rhyme Quick” with Nice & Smooth.

UK-born, Los Angeles-based tech-house producer Cloonee‘s fan-favorite ID, “I Rhyme Quick” with Nice & Smooth, has finally been released after spending more than a year circulating through DJ sets and social media clips.

In “I Rhyme Quick,” Cloonee reworks the vocals of Nice & Smooth’s 1991 groovy hip-hop classic “Sometimes I Rhyme Slow” by speeding them up and placing them over thumping bass and punchy drums. The verses largely stay true to the original, though Cloonee introduces his own twist by looping “no static, got an automatic” three times. This repetition builds momentum into the line, “too much of anything makes you an addict,” then leads into a drop that lands with extra impact.

The combination of nostalgic hip-hop vocals and a contemporary, club-focused sound results in a track that’s served as a memorable part of his sets and is now ready to be blasted at home.

“I Rhyme Quick” arrives during a strong string of releases from Cloonee, adding another proven crowd-pleaser to his consistent catalog. Earlier 2026 releases such as “Free Your Mind” with Prospa, “One Question,” and “XTC” have also helped solidify his status as one of this decade’s most dependable tech house hitmakers.

On top of these releases, Cloonee has kicked off summer with a sold-out debut at Red Rocks and a packed-out set at EDC Las Vegas. Over the past few years, he has grown from an underground name to a global mainstay, and “I Rhyme Quick” adds to a year that’s already been strong and active.
