Danny Elfman has confirmed dates for a North American fall tour, coming in support of a new, as-yet-unannounced studio album.
The composer and rocker, who first rose to prominence as frontman of Oingo Boingo, kicks off the run September 7th at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom, with stops at Detroit’s Fox Theatre, Toronto’s History, Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway, New York’s SummerStage, Philadelphia’s The Met Philadelphia. Additionally, Elfman will appear at Skaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, Louisville’s Louder Than Life Festival, and Aftershock Festival in Sacramento.
A presale for the newly announced dates begins Wednesday, July 8th at 10 a.m. local time, with the general on-sale following Friday, July 10th at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster and DannyElfman.com.
Elfman will be joined on the road by an all-star live band featuring Nili Brosh on guitar (Dethklok), Robin Finck on guitar (Nine Inch Nails, Guns N’ Roses), Josh Freese on drums (Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters), and Matt McJunkins on bass (A Perfect Circle, Eagles of Death Metal).
The tour arrives ahead of Elfman’s first new album since 2021’s Big Mess. The setlists will pull from his new material alongside Big Mess, his Oingo Boingo catalog, and his broader solo work. For the outdoor concerts, audiences can also expect selections of iconic music from his film and television scores with the accompaniment of orchestra and choir.
