The first of two super jams at the “Back to the Beginning” final Black Sabbath concert on Saturday (July 5th) in Birmingham, England, featured Disturbed’s David Draiman, Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale, Ugly Kid Joe’s Whitfield Crane, and Yungblud singing Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne covers, backed by an all-star cast of musicians.
Draiman sang Ozzy’s “Shot in the Dark” and Sabbath’s “Sweet Leaf” backed by Anthrax’s Scott Ian, ex-Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, Faith No More’s Mike Bordin, Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt, and more. Hale and Crane teamed up on Ozzy’s “Believer,” and Yungblud sang Sabbath’s “Changes,” with Anthrax’s Frank Bello joining in on bass.
The super jam took place after individual mini sets from Mastodon, Rival Sons, Anthrax, Halestorm, and Lamb of God. Keep checking back for more updates from the “Back to the Beginning” concert, and see fan-filmed video below.
