deBasement – “STAY IN UR LANE”

About two years ago, Special Interest’s Alli Logout teamed up with producer Margo XS to form the hi-octane duo deBasement; they released their self-titled debut EP last year. (Margo XS has been on an absolute tear lately, working with Zara Larsson on her megahit "Midnight Sun" and contributing heavily to Kim Petras’ forthcoming album Detour.) Together, Logout and XS make ferocious, high-gloss bangers. Their latest, "STAY IN UR LANE," dropped earlier this week.

"STAY IN UR LANE" is one of those songs that makes me miss having a car; it's the ideal sweaty summer anthem, something I want to risk my speakers' livelihood with, no destination just banging my head as the street lights turn green. There's metal clanks and an engine-revving beat. "I don't chase I charge, bitch," Logout taunts.

According to the press release, "STAY IN UR LANE" is part of a larger project that features Miss Bashful & DJ ADHD, dropping in July on In Real Life Music. Watch the video directed by Sarah Ritter below.
