Don Broco and Nickelback unite for blistering single ‘Nightmare Tripping’: “A dream come true”

Don Broco and Nickelback have joined forces for a thunderous new song called ‘Nightmare Tripping’ – the title track from the former’s newly announced album.

The track comes following UK alt-rock shapeshifters releasing a steady run of singles recently, including nu-metal-influenced ‘Cellophane’, electric ‘Hype Man’, emotive ‘Disappear’, and dancefloor-ready ‘Euphoria’.

With the latest track, ‘Nightmare Tripping’, the band have joined forces with rock giants Nickelback, and brought a new level of intensity to their sound.

Grounded in immense guitar riffs, hard-hitting drums, and razor-sharp vocals, the song sees Don Broco’s Rob Damiani and Matt Donnelly balance vocal duties with Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger, and swing back and forth from immense screams to an anthemic, melodic chorus.

It also arrives alongside a cinematic, film-noir-inspired music video directed by Gordy De St. Jeor, which you can check out below.

“‘Nightmare Tripping’ is the uncertainty between dreams and reality,” Don Broco shared. “When the paralysis demon holding you down forces you to confront what you’ve tried to escape by going to sleep, blurring the boundaries of consciousness.”

“In total contrast to that terror, collaborating on the song with Nickleback was a dream come true,” they added. Chad and Ryan [Vikedal] were incredible to team up with, and shooting the video in a burnt out L.A haunted house was an experience we’ll never forget.”

The band have also confirmed that the latest track, as well as the aforementioned singles, will all feature in their next full-length album, ‘Nightmare Tripping’. That album is set for release on March 27 via Fearless Records, and available to pre-order here.

Later this summer, Don Broco will be performing at Rock IM Ring and Rock For People in June, and at Finsbury Park in London the month after, supporting Biffy Clyro. Visit here for tickets.

The band’s last album was ‘Amazing Things’, which was released in 2021. Three months later, upon the physical release, it became their first LP to hit Number One.
