The Eagles vocalist Don Henley believes that the band’s “miraculous run” of more than five decades will “probably” end this year.
Henley opened up about the group’s future during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, where he reflected on the Eagles being “some of the last of our generation to still be playing live.”

“I think this year will probably be it,” Henley stated. “And I’ve said things like that before, but I feel like we’re getting toward the end and that will be fine, too.”
When asked to confirm whether 2026 will be the end of the Eagles, he added, “I’m okay with that.”
Henley continued by explaining that he’d like to spend more time with family and “growing vegetables,” as well as seeing more than “the airports and the hotel room and the venue” at some of the same places that the Eagles have been on tour, “before it all gets vaporized.”
“I don’t ever want to have a one-dimensional life,” he said. “I have two nonprofit environmental organizations that I chair and that I feel are really important for conservation and preservation. I have four kids and a grandchild. There’s just lots of other things to do.”
