The cancellation of kids’ show Tiny Chef has found support from an unlikely source – Ru Paul’s Drag Race.
It was announced this week (June 24) that the animated kids’ show, about a chef who makes tiny meals in a tree house, would end after three seasons. The animators posted a video of Tiny Chef receiving the news and crying, which went viral on social media.
The announcement also caught the attention of the X (formerly Twitter) account of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, which wrote: “We’re saddened by the news of the #TinyChefShow not returning for another season… #TinyChef we see you, and mama still loves you”.

The connection may not be obvious, but RuPaul actually appeared on the show as the voice of the character Announcer in season one. A poster of the drag icon is also visible on the chef’s wall.
@thetinychefshowCheffy attempted these words after the French gentleman also struggled a little. I think they both nailed it! #tinychef

The creators of the show have launched a crowdfunding campaign to make more episodes, but Drag Race fans have also taken to X/Twitter to voice their appreciation for the show.
“RUPAUL KNOWING TINY CHEF IS THE CROSSOVER I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED” enthused one user, with another adding: “gonna need Tiny Chef as a guest judge”.

One hopeful poster suggested a collaboration with RuPaul’s streaming network WOW Presents. “They should do a wow presents show where tiny chef cooks with queens idk it would be campy and cute” they said.

In recent months, the RuPaul’s Drag Race UK fandom mourned the loss of The Vivienne, the winner of the show’s first season, who died in January aged 32. JADE and JLS star Aston Merrygold were among the mourners at their funeral later that month.
