Dropkick Murphys kicked off their annual “St. Patrick’s Day Tour” at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine, on Monday night, and gave their anti-ICE song “Citizen I.C.E.” its US live debut.
As previously reported, Dropkick Murphys reworked the lyrics to their 2005 song “Citizen C.I.A.” to protest the current activities being carried out by ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement).

The veteran punk band started performing “Citizen I.C.E.” on their Fall 2025 European tour, and have included a studio version of the track on a new split LP with current tour mates Haywire titled New England Forever (exclusively available in physical formats only at their current concerts).
In Portland on Monday, Dropkick Murphys performed “Citizen I.C.E.” in the United States for the first time, with frontman Ken Casey welcoming Haywire singer Austin Sparkman to join him on the song (Haywire also appear on the studio track).
Prior to launching into the tune, Casey led a “Fuck ICE” chant at the State Theatre, with the audience shouting along. The band then delivered a rousing performance of the “Citizen I.C.E.,” complete with lyrics like, “Too scared to join the military/ Too dumb to be a cop/ Citizen I.C.E.”
Dropkick Murphys’ tour continues Tuesday night in Montclair, New Jersey, and runs through a five-night stand in Boston in mid-March (pick up tickets here). See the band’s performance of “Citizen I.C.E.” and their remaining tour dates below.
