Drum and Bass Artist Rova Releases Debut EP, ‘UNDISPUTED’

**Rova’s first EP, UNDISPUTED, cements his place as one of DnB’s most promising rising talents.**

After breaking into the scene in 2024 with “Eyes on Me,” Rova is one drum and bass artist you want to keep in your sights. In the two years since, the 23-year-old New Zealand native has gone on to play massive DnB festivals like Let It Roll, Rampage Open Air, and DnB All Stars, not to mention collaborating with with DnB heavyweights 1991 and Grafix on “Hijack” and “Let Me Down.”

The jump-up artist consistently puts out unique and forward-thinking music. He continues that streak in his latest EP, UNDISPUTED.

The effort consists of six tracks that capture Rova’s creativity and prowess as a producer. For someone who only began making music in 2019, his sophisticated craftsmanship is on par with artists who’ve been in the game for decades. His sound design is remarkably intricate, and every song is densely layered with highly detailed elements that all mesh seamlessly together. The EP is worth listening to multiple times through, as every repeated listen reveals new details previously gone unnoticed.

UNDISPUTED opens with “Octane,” and befitting of its name, the track signals a high-energy start to the EP. “See U Work” and “Think I Am” are reminiscent of Rova’s classic style — with anticipatory build-ups and explosive drops, catchy vocals, bouncy basslines, and relentless momentum. The unexpected second drops in each offer hype-worthy surprises, with Rova crossing into more trap-adjacent territory.

“Low Down” with vocalist and producer A Little Sound is another highlight of the EP, her smooth, emotive vocals soaring over the song’s catchy yet heavy melodies nicely. “OneTwentyFive” blends UK rap vocals with tightly packed bass punches, and “The Fire” brings the EP to a powerful and upbeat finish.

No two songs sound the same on UNDISPUTED, but each one sounds unmistakably like Rova. They’re all reinforced by his signature, deep-voiced “Rova” audio watermark that appears in plenty of his songs on the EP and beyond.
