Dua Lipa Covers Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” in Los Angeles: Watch

Dua Lipa’s “Radical Optimism Tour” stopped in Los Angeles for a four-night run at the Kia Forum beginning Saturday, October 4th, and for the first night, she performed a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain.”

Lipa has been performing nightly covers for her 2025 outing, selecting songs from local legends to perform each evening. Fleetwood Mac’s members respectively hail from England and Northern California, but their mid ’70s reformation took place in Los Angeles; so, with Lipa’s smoldering alto, “The Chain” was an appropriate choice for her and her band to cover. Their rendition was even more high-energy than the original, with Lipa’s backup singers and instrumentalists bringing plenty of intensity to the 1977 hit. Watch a video below.

Lipa also busted out a cover of “California Dreamin'” by The Mamas and the Papas during her Sunday night show in Los Angeles; so far on her “Radical Optimism” run, Lipa has covered Alicia Keys, TLC, Donna Summer, OutKast, Aerosmith, Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, and dozens more.
