Earl Sweatshirt is ready to reveal his next studio album. Entitled Live Laugh Love, it arrives this Friday, August 22nd.
The rapper officially announced the new release with a bizarre Instagram post that features a photo of Chris Brown, a LeBron James meme, a shot of Sweatshirt wearing wire-rimmed glasses, and a whole host of odd images. See the post here.

Sweatshirt first unveiled the new project with a wild listening party held in Los Angeles over the weekend (August 15th). According to a Complex review on Instagram, the event featured a DJ who played the new album, followed by someone wearing a Supreme hat–clearly not Earl Sweatshirt–coming out to perform Earl Sweatshirt songs. There were album-themed cocktails available (Live Whiskey, Laugh Vodka, and Love Tequila), t-shirts for sale that appeared to reveal the tracklist, and a free zine handed out that included contributions from the likes of Donald Glover, Vince Staples, Dave Chappelle, The Alchemist and others. Actor/comedian Zack Fox was there filming the proceedings, but Sweatshirt was nowhere to be seen. See the Complex post below.
Live Laugh Love will be Sweatshirt’s first full-length effort since the 2023 collaboration with The Alchemist, Voir Dire.
Sweatshirt currently only has a pair of upcoming tour dates: an appearance at the Hopscotch Music Festival 2025 in Raleigh, North Carolina, on September 4th, and a Halloween show (October 31st) at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. Get tickets here.
