Elon Musk’s Lawyers Say He “Does Not Use a Computer”

Elon Musk‘s lawyers are claiming he “does not use a computer,” contradicting Musk’s social media posts, video game streams, employees at his companies, publicly available data, and common sense.

As Wired reports, Musk’s attorneys made the claim as part of a 2025 lawsuit against OpenAI, which Musk co-founded in 2015 but left three years later after a failed takeover attempt. The lawsuit has been acrimonious and messy. Last Friday OpenAI filed a complaint alleging that Musk’s legal team isn’t complying with the discovery process and turning over Musk’s records. In response on Sunday, Musk’s team issued a counter-filing, claiming they are “conducting searches of Mr. Musk’s mobile phone, having searched his emails, and that Mr. Musk does not use a computer.”

Check out some posts from Elon Musk about his computer below.

Earlier this month, Musk left the White House following reports of drug use and a public blow-up with Donald Trump. Musk soon apologized, in the process taking one of the biggest Ls of the year so far.

This is a pic of my laptop. It’s about 3 years old. A guy in Germany gave me this cool sticker, so I don’t want to upgrade it and lose the sticker. pic.twitter.com/wJZbhpkus8
