Emmeline shares details of forthcoming EP, LIFTGOINGUP

“While walking the streets of New York and feeling empowered (if also a little challenged) by my autonomy within such a hectic city, I was thinking a lot about the female screen icons who were known for their fierceness as well as their charm. I started writing straight from the line ‘If I could have been Faye Dunaway in the sixties…’ and the concept really poured out of me from there. I was also lucky that Marina B (a great friend and our gorgeous hook vocalist) was equally enamored by the idea of these women; we chatted excitedly about film – some of which is in the recording – and came up with this beautiful siren melody that plays out our ode to the sixties,” Emmeline explains.
