Shortly after news broke of Bob Weir’s passing at the age of 78, the Empire State Building commemorated the Grateful Dead co-founder with a special light tribute. “Tonight we will shine in tie-dye to honor the life and legacy of Bob Weir,” read a post from the New York City skyscraper’s official X account.
It was a lovely gesture, even if Weir himself might have opted for a different color scheme.
