"Epic as fuck": Caroline headline End of the Road's garden stage seven years after watching their heroes do the same

The Minnesota legends Low played the Garden back in 2019 as part of their Double Negative album tour. It was right around the time Caroline formed, they tell us from that same stage, and sparked something for the members in attendance.

“It crystallised what music is about. It was so powerful and beautiful. Whatever they did that night, we're aspiring to it,” Jasper Llewellyn said.

"Epic as fuck" was how the eight-member ensemble described the feeling of headlining that same stage. Caroline's striking palette of distorted brass drones, skeletal guitar clusters, scribbling violins, and surging dynamic shifts filled the leafy enclave Friday night while Mac DeMarco took over the main Woods stage at the same time.

They primarily played material from their lauded 2025 album caroline 2, dedicating one song to a friend who passed away soon after they'd all attended End of the Road together three years ago. The dedication was especially poignant given Low retired following Mimi Parker's own death around the same time.
