Green Day launch 24/7 YouTube stream ‘GDTV’ featuring unseen archival footage, full gigs, backstage action, studio sessions and more

Green Day have launched a 24/7 YouTube stream, which will offer around the clock footage from across the band’s history. READ MORE: Green Day – ‘Saviors’ review: their best work since ‘American Idiot’ GDTV (Green Day TV) launched yesterday (Thursday August 6) and features 24/7 footage of the band, including music videos and live performances. As well as full gigs available to watch, there is also more rare footage included on the livestream too, including archival clips, backstage videos, and rarely seen videos of the band before and after their live shows. Once a week, drummer Tré Cool will host his own show on the platform called Transmission Unknown. This will see him handpick a number of emerging acts who he wants to spotlight, as well as include comedy sketches. Check out the stream below. The new launch of GDTV comes as the punk trio will soon release their comedy movie Nimrods, loosely inspired by their early touring days. The movie comes out on August 14 in theatres.
