When Apple TV’s For All Mankind returns for Season 5 this March, the alternate reality science fiction drama will have advanced through time to the 2010s, revealing what might have happened to the world had America’s dreams of space exploration remained a priority. This first teaser features new cast member Sean Kaufman as Alex Poletov Baldwin, the grandson of astronaut Ed Baldwin (Joel Kinnaman), who apparently has a fondness for dirt-biking on the sands of Mars.
According to the official description, via Apple, the fifth season of For All Mankind “picks up in the years since the Goldilocks asteroid heist. Happy Valley has grown into a thriving colony with thousands of residents and a base for new missions that will take us even further into the solar system. But with the nations of Earth now demanding law and order on the Red Planet, friction continues to build between the people who live on Mars and their former home.”
Returning series regulars for Season 5 include Kinnaman, Toby Kebbell, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña, and Wrenn Schmidt, with Mirelle Enos, Costa Ronin, Ruby Cruz, Ines Asserson, and the previously-mentioned Kaufman also joining the cast. Season 5 will premiere March 27th, with new episodes debuting weekly on Fridays.
