For All Mankind Season 5 Trailer Teases the War for Martian Independence: Watch

When For All Mankind returns for Season 5 this March, it’ll be 2012 for the sci-fi series, and colonists on the planet Mars are about to rebel against the planet Earth. The new trailer for the Apple TV series, set in an alternate history that began in 1969, reveals that the show may take humanity further than ever into the stars… presuming humanity can find some sort of peace amongst themselves first. (If you need help identifying that needle drop, it’s “Sail” by AWOLNATION, first released in 2010 — making it period-appropriate.)

According to the official description, Season 5 “picks up in the 2010s, years since the Goldilocks asteroid heist. Happy Valley has grown into a thriving colony with thousands of residents and a base for new missions that will take us even further into the solar system. But with the nations of Earth now demanding law and order on the Red Planet, friction continues to build between the people who live on Mars and their former home.” (Is For All Mankind… secretly a prequel to The Expanse?)

The show’s returning series regulars include Joel Kinnaman, Toby Kebbell, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña and Wrenn Schmidt, with Mireille Enos, Costa Ronin, Sean Kaufman, Ruby Cruz, and Ines Asserson also joining the cast.

For All Mankind Season 5 premieres March 27th, 2026 on Apple TV, with new episodes debuting Fridays. Check out the new trailer below. Also coming soon is the spinoff series Star City, which will focus on the Russian space program.
