Francis of Delirium reveals new album Run, Run Pure Beauty, shares euphoric single “It's a Beautiful Life”

The record follows her 2024 debut Lighthouse and alongside the announcement, Bahrich has shared the record's latest single, “It's a Beautiful Life” with a video by Iranian director Kiyan Agadjani.

The video, which took eight months to complete, centres on a basketball narrative inspired by films including Little Miss Sunshine, Space Jam and Juno. Agadjani previously directed the short film Arman & Elisa, which prompted Bahrich to approach him with a concept involving “gay basketball”. The resulting piece features a cast of musicians, artists and filmmakers from Luxembourg.

The song's lyrics draw from fleeting moments of observation including coffee with a pianist in Berlin, witnessing a couple's breakup on a New York park bench and overhearing a choir rehearsal as source material. “I'm not denying pain but trying to find the beauty alongside it,” she says of the song's lyrical approach.

Produced by Bahrich alongside regular collaborator Chris Hewett, Run, Run Pure Beauty was mixed by Nicolas Vernhes (Deerhunter, Dirty Projectors, Silver Jews).'
