During the first weekend of Coachella, Sabrina Carpenter had Susan Sarandon play an older version of her in the middle of her set. At weekend two on Friday, April 17th, the pop superstar had Geena Davis play the same role, completing a tribute to the movie Thelma & Louise.
Like Sarandon, Davis appeared with a blonde wig in a vintage car on Carpenter’s elaborate set, delivering a monologue as an older Sabrina looking back at her life and career. The scene kicked off Act III of the pop singer’s headlining 24-song performance.
In Thelma & Louise, Davis played Thelma, while Sarandon played Louise, with a car also playing a major role in the movie. The only thing missing from Carpenter’s two-weekend tribute was an appearance by Brad Pitt, who played a young hunk in the 1991 film.
That said, Carpenter did get a shirtless Terry Crews to play as a stage technician at the beginning of Act V (a role played by Will Ferrell the previous week), and in the biggest cameo of her set, the legendary Madonna came out and duetted with her on a few songs.
Sabrina Carpenter’s Weekend 2 Coachella set is currently streaming on YouTube for a limited time on a loop. Scroll through the video below to find her performance.
