Geese have announced their third album: Getting Killed is set for release on September 26th via Partisan Records. Today, the Brooklyn four-piece has dropped the record’s lead single “Taxes.” Take a listen below.
The Brooklyn rockers recorded Getting Killed with producer Kenneth Blume in Los Angeles. “Taxes” opens with metallic drumming and features frontman Cameron Winter’s distinct voice, singing “If you want me to pay my taxes/ You better come over with a crucifix/ You’re gonna have to nail me down.” To celebrate today’s announcement, Geese are playing a free show at Herbert Von King Park in Brooklyn, NY at 6:30 p.m. tonight (July 7th).
Later this fall, Geese will kick off the “Getting Killed Tour” which will take the band across North America through October and November (get tickets here). The tour will conclude with two nights in Brooklyn, the band’s hometown, on November 20th and 21st. In December, Geese frontman Cameron Winter will play four solo shows, including at New York’s Carnegie Hall.
Geese released their sophomore effort 3D Country in 2023. At the tail-end of 2024, frontman Cameron Winter released his debut solo record Heavy Metal. Getting Killed will mark Geese’s first album as a four-piece, following the departure of guitarist Foster Hudson, who left the band to focus on academic studies.
