Geese Bring a Trio of Stunners to Their First-Ever Tiny Desk Concert: Watch

Geese stopped by the NPR office to perform their first-ever Tiny Desk Concert.

The band dusted off three songs from their terrific 2025 album Getting Killed for their Tiny Desk set. They opened the show with a stunning rendition of “Husbands,” followed by a more lively performance of “Cobra.” They closed out their set with a moving interpretation of “Half Real.”

While some bands bring all acoustic instruments for their Tiny Desk shows, Geese kept things entirely electric and performed in the same setup as their usual live shows — albeit with more restraint and poise. Frontman Cameron Winter in particular provided a radiant, soulful performance, departing from the way he sang on the record and focusing on channeling the emotions behind his words and the band’s expressive instrumentation. Geese are still in the midst of a massive breakthrough period after the September 2025 release of Getting Killed, which we named as one of the best albums of the year. They performed on Saturday Night Live last month, demonstrating their range by selecting “Au Pays du Cocaine” and “Trinidad” for their two songs.

They’re also gearing up for the February 27th release of Geese: Live at Third Man Records, a new live album capturing the band’s raw, striking sound.
