As revealed moments ago by Festival co-founder Simon Taffe talking to Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 6 Music, the band's Woods stage set at Larmer Tree Gardens on Thursday, 3 September will close their late summer run of UK and Ireland shows.
"The powers that be made us keep it a secret", said Taffe. "It's exciting to have them back after playing the Big Top many years ago. We've been working on getting them back since August last year and it just kept on getting bigger and bigger."
Taffe also revealed the Festival's stage splits will be announced next week.
The End of the Road appearance follows dates including Reading/Leeds Festivals, Electric Picnic, and two dates at the Troxy in London. Ahead of that they play a series of festival dates across the US and Canada with a Bonaroo slot this Friday.
End of the Road's 20th anniversary edition sees Geese join a line-up that includes Pulp, CMAT, Mac DeMarco, Super Furry Animals, Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Earl Sweatshirt & MIKE, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Ty Segall, Fat Dog, caroline, YHWH Nailgun, Just Mustard, james K, Kelly Lee Owens (DJ), Angine de Poitrine, Ratboys, Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek, Factory Floor and more
