It's been five years since Genghis Tron's Dream Weapon, which was their first album in 13 years. Luckily, this time they're not making fans wait as long for a followup. Today the experimental metal band is announcing Signal Fire, arriving in June. The explosive, groovy "I Am All" serves as the lead single.
"'Signal Fire' envisions a Kojima-esque dystopia of endless proxy warfare," says vocalist and lyricist Tony Wolski, "where the deluge of available information has outmoded the human ability to parse it. A world where those amoral, shameless and cunning enough can literally reshape the reality at their whim through sheer insistence. Honestly, this is probably about, like, late 2027…"
This time, Wolski and drummer Nick Yacyshyn (of Baptists and Sumac) are joined by Wolski's Armed bandmate Kenny Szymanski on bass. The record was co-produced and mixed by Seth Manchester (Model/Actriz, BIG|BRAVE). Watch the Aaron Jones-directed music video for "I Am All" below.
