Ghost have unveiled a brand-new lore chapter — and for once, they kept it brief. The newly released video confirms that the band will officially release their cover of Pet Shop Boys' "It's A Sin" on all streaming platforms on January 16. The track originally appeared as a bonus cut on 2018's Prequelle, making this the first time the song will be widely available across digital services.
In the video, Frater Imperator addresses the faithful directly, delivering both good news and a dose of clarity. While the arrival of "It's A Sin" is finally happening, he also puts speculation to rest by confirming that a new covers EP is not in the works.
That clarification is notable, as Ghost have a well-established history of standalone covers releases, including If You Have Ghost in 2013, Popestar in 2016, and Phantomime in 2023. For now, "It's A Sin" stands alone — no companion EP, no expanded covers project. Just a long-requested fan favorite finally freed from bonus-track limbo.

Speaking of Ghost, their new record Skeletá was clearly pretty damn popular, as it became the first rock record to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart since since AC/DC's Power Up in 2020. Skeletá moved 86,000 units in its first week, which is especially impressive considering 77,000 of those units were physical media sales – even crazier, 44,000 of those units were vinyl sales.
Skeletá also landed at No. 1 on the U.S. Album, Vinyl Album, Indie Store Album, Independent Album, Rock Album, Rock and Alternative Album, and Hard Rock Album charts. Internationally, the album bowed at No. 1 in Sweden Germany, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and Finland; No. 2 in the UK, Netherlands and Norway; No. 4 in France; and No. 6 in Ireland.
