Last month, Phoebe Bridgers unleashed her long-awaited, breathtaking Punisher followup Lost Weekend, whose list of collaborators raised eyebrows. The most interesting contributor was probably Justin Broadrick of Godflesh and Jesu. The industrial metal bandleader spoke of the experience in a new interview with The Guardian and revealed that a new collaboration with Bridgers is on the way.The article points out that Broadrick remixed Bridgers' boygenius bandmate Julien Baker's song "Favor" back in 2021, while Bridgers contributed backing vocals. More recently, he received an email from Bridgers about doing some "Jesu-style stuff" on Lost Weekend. "I thought I was being scammed," he said.
