Guns N’ Roses performed the song “Black Leather” from their 1993 covers album “The Spaghetti Incident?” for the first time ever in concert on Saturday night at Arena Castelão in Fortaleza, Brazil.

“Black Leather” is a song that was written by Sex Pistols members Steve Jones and Paul Cook, and given to The Runaways for their 1978 album And Now… The Runaways.

A version featuring Jones on vocals and Cook on drums was issued as part Sex Pistols best-of collection in late 1979, and also in 1980 as a single paired with the song “Here We Go Again.” The track was recorded following singer Johnny Rotten’s departure from the band in early 1978, and released after the Pistols had broken up entirely.

Despite appearing on Guns N’ Roses’ “The Spaghetti Incident?” more than 30 years ago, the band had never played it live until Saturday’s show. Whereas Axl Roses sang on the studio recording, bassist Duff McKagan handled lead vocals for the live performance.

GN’R wrap up the Latin American leg of their 2026 world tour with two more dates in Brazil. From there, they’ll return to the States for a show in Hollywood, Florida, on May 5th, and a headlining appearance at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Daytona Beach on May 7th. After a UK/European run in June and early July, Guns will launch a North American tour on June 23rd in Raleigh, North Carolina (pick up tickets here).
