The Brighton-based artist has built a reputation for channelling the ghost of Mississippi blues and John Fahey’s intricate Americana through a distinctly Welsh lens.

Raymond's third studio album, Last Night I Heard the Dog Star Bark - released last year via We Are Busy Bodies – was named Album of the Year by both NPR’s Lars Gotrich and BBC Radio 6 Music’s Gideon Coe.

In parallel with the Fat Possum signing, her first two albums are being reissued this summer. You Were Never Much of a Dancer (2018) and Strange Lights Over Garth Mountain (2020) – the latter a Welsh Music Prize nominee – will arrive via We Are Busy Bodies in conjunction with Tompkins Square Records, who originally released them.

Next month she supports Mitski at London’s Royal Albert Hall and has festival appearances lined up including Primavera in Barcelona, Roskilde in Denmark, and FolkEast in Suffolk.
