Ann Wilson of legendary rock band Heart is speaking out to the public about the fake AI photos that have to come to populate platforms like Facebook and how it’s impacting her, her family, and the band’s ticket sales.
The Heart singer appeared on CNN on Friday, where she spoke about the AI-generated images, which depict her in such scenes as comforting Ariana Grande, fainting on stage, and arguing on The View that have been posted by fake Facebook pages. “I first came across them when I came back on social media,” she explained. “I just really didn’t like it, and I didn’t like the fact that they confuse our fans. They don’t know what’s real and not real.”
“It’s hard to describe how cruel some of them are,” Wilson continued. “There was one post of my husband dead in the hospital, and I was leaning over him, crying on a handkerchief. His daughter called, wondering what was going on with her dad. That’s when it struck me that this stuff is really bad.”
Beyond the emotional toll, Wilson said the images are confusing Heart’s fans “and it’s kind of hurting our ticket sales and it’s bothering our business.” And despite her best efforts, she’s been unable to get Meta to take down the images. “[We] report them, and there was no response. There was no, like nothing changed. In fact, it just keeps on going.”

Starting in February, Heart will embark on a 2026 leg of their “Royal Flush Tour” with Lucinda Williams.
