Hiding Places, formed by vocalists and guitarists Audrey Keelin and Nicholas Byrne, drummer Henry Cutting, and bassist Michael Matsakis, are set to release their first full-length collection in April, to follow their 2024 EP Lesson. The Secret To Good Living it the first work that the band have recorded together in a professional studio, with “Waiting” arriving as the first preview of what’s to come.

The album follows the Hiding Places’ move to New York from North Carolina, where they’ve performed and collaborated with NC-based peers, including Wednesday, Little Mazarn, and Friendship’s Dan Wriggins, with Colin Miller (MJ Lenderman, Indigo DeSouza) leading production on Lesson. Having previously worked remotely, The Secret To Good Living is the first work that has come together with all of the band’s members living in the same city, with Byrne commenting: “We’ve built a Southern home in New York and simultaneously get to experience the cultures of the world that collide here.”
