HIJINX Returns to 1985 Music with Four Fresh Bass Tracks

Bristol-based producer HIJINX has dropped the Survival Loop EP, featuring styles ranging from dark dubstep to UK garage. It’s no secret that most 1985 Music projects share a familiar style, and HIJINX is one of the producers who has become a staple of the coveted imprint over the years. His knack for dark, edgy sounds that cover nearly all corners of UK bass music makes him a perfect fit for the vibe that fans have come to know and love from the label. HIJINX returned to 1985 Music this week with his latest release, the Survival Loop EP. It features four new tracks with no additional producers, meaning HIJINX takes the full spotlight. He starts the project with his take on classic dubstep in “Nish,” whose deep and punchy basslines build tension before the EP takes an unexpected turn with “Watson.” It sounds straight from a UKG dancefloor, but complete with that dark signature HIJINX flair.
