Hohnen Ford share new track, "Ordinary"

“Ordinary” follows on from previous singles “Burn My Return Ticket (The Rat Song)” and “A Lot To Give”, the latter was a duet with folk artist Birdy.

Speaking on the track, Ford offers: “Ordinary emerged out of that feeling of smallness without the person that lights you up. The rollercoaster of early love when you feel without them you’re not enough, and you’re hanging on their coattails to be seen again. The insecure moment when you question all the good parts of yourself and your person when you’re not together.

A lot of recent songwriting, literal distance and perceived distance. Feeling big and small and far away from people you love as well as very close. I feel so excited and lucky to have my work take me all around the world, and there’s a constant juggle between running at these opportunities full force and holding on to the people you love. Waiting be reunited, having long quiet days at home, and then flying around being apart from the people in your heart for long periods! It’s a great privilege and a challenge to return to these different states. Ordinary is about your world turning upside down with a love that isn’t possible to sustain".
