Ice Cube and comedian Mike Epps will celebrate 30 years of the film Friday with a hip-hop and standup show in Long Beach, California on Friday, July 17th at the Long Beach Amphitheater.
The West Coast rapper will perform his hits at the “Everyday’s Friday: Lyrics, Loungin’ and Laughing” show with Epps bringing his standup comedy to the stage. Rappers Warren G and Scarface will also perform.
A Live Nation pre-sale begins on Thursday, May 14th at 10:00 a.m. local time. Fans can sign up for Live Nation’s free All Access membership to receive access. The general on-sale follows on Friday, May 15th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
“Friday has always been about and for the fans who made it a classic and kept it alive for nearly 30 years,” Ice Cube said in the press release. “To be able to step back out there with Mike Epps and bring that energy to the stage for a one-night-only experience in Long Beach is special. This show represents the beginning of the next chapter.”
Epps added, “Every day for the last 30 years someone has told me how much they loved the Friday franchise and how much the characters mean to them. To reunite with Cube and bring this one night only experience to the fans is incredible.”
Show promoters are also encouraging fans to dress as their favorite Friday characters for a chance to win up to $2,000.
Friday, a buddy stoner comedy starring Ice Cube, born O’Shea Jackson, and Chris Tucker, came out in 1995 and spawned a franchise that included two sequels and a short-lived animated series. Epps first appeared in the immediate sequel Next Friday.
A final installment, Last Friday, has been in development for years. In 2024, Ice Cube said the film had finally gotten the go-ahead from Warner Bros. studios.
Ice Cube most recently played the leading role in the 2025 adaptation of War of the Worlds, which took home a Razzie for Worst Picture. He is doing concerts and festivals throughout the summer and into the fall. Fans can get tickets here.
