Iceage frontman Elias Rønnenfelt has announced his second solo album under his own name, Speak Daggers, which will be out October 17 via Escho. He made it in his bedroom in Nordvest, Copenhagen and it features contributions from Erika De Casier, drummer Tobias Laust (Liss), The Congos & I Jahbar, Fine and Jacob Kaarsberg.
The first single from the album is “USA Baby,” a bluesy folk song set to a funky beat and featuring that desolate style Elias is known for: “Dumb rider of nowhere / La lune regarde, devil may care / Sleepless mon cheri / Hope I’ll land on my feet.” Listen below.
Elias will be on tour in the US in September, including an NYC show at Le Poisson Rouge on 9/19 with Joanne Robertson and UK Brad. All dates are listed below.
