IMISSMYMOM announce IMISSMYMOM II album with “Alive” video

The nine-track record is the follow-up to their 2024 debut and finds the band sharpening their mix of rock-adjacent influences, while a new visual identity comes courtesy of acclaimed creative director Ib Kamara, ex-editor-in-chief of Dazed.

Kamara signed on after hearing early demos in the studio, a move the band describe as a pivotal moment for the record’s visual language. “The link-up with Ib happened after a studio session in which he heard the rough album demos and was enamoured with the project,” they explain. “It was then we decided that he would take the lead on our image for this album, and we are incredibly honoured to have him onboard.”

The video for “Alive”, directed by Nayayadream, places the band in a dreamlike, shifting landscape that echoes the album's themes of chaos and corruption.

Across the record, the trio lean further into the self-styled “heroin rock” aesthetic that has defined their emerging catalogue - a sound built on woozy atmospherics, raw vocal delivery, and a low-end weight that owes as much to shoegaze as it does to underground rap textures. The new material was produced between London and Los Angeles and mixed by the band themselves alongside a close studio team, though full credits are yet to be confirmed.
