INFECTED RAIN Release Melodic And Intense New Song, "Stranger"

The Moldovan heavy metal quartet Infected Rain released their new intensely personal and low-tuned single, "Stranger" this past Thursday (19 March). For the release of the single, the band opted to premiere the music video on YouTube (approx. 5pm EDT) and participate in the live chat as fans got to see the music video – and hear the single – for the first time.

Vocalist Lena Scissorhands, guitarist Vadim ‘Vidick’ Ojog, bassist Alice Lane, and drummer Eugene Voluta have yet to release music since their 2024 LP TIME, their sixth studio record since their inception in 2008. Gaining acclaim and momentum in the metal scene during those 16 years, their 2022 LP, Ecdysis debuted in the Top 20 on the US Current Hard Music Charts, a showcase of an emotional and impassioned group that aren't afraid of experimenting.

Furthering that point, the band's newest single "Stranger" plays with orchestral elements in the breaks between thrashing riffs, a powerful compliment to the zealous recount of "the moment when you realize you don’t fully recognize yourself anymore. It’s an inward fight with identity, with the roles you’ve worn for too long, and the distance that grows between who you are and who you think you should be."
