It Sure Looks Like Salomon & The Broken Arm Ripped Off A TWIABP Album Cover

The world is a beautiful place. Hopefully, we can all agree on that, whether or not we continue to fear the cold embrace of death. But when a couple of brands feel free to completely bite the instantly recognizable artwork from a much-beloved underground album, the world feels that much less beautiful.

Recently, the running shoe brand Salomon teamed up with the Broken Arm, a fashion boutique in Paris, to launch some collaborative shoes. We wouldn't need to trouble our pretty little heads about this, except that one of their promotional images sure looks like an AI-slopped version of the album cover for the World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die's 2013 emo-revival classic Whenever, If Ever. TWIABP noticed.

That's the same, right? It definitely looks the same to me. Here's the Broken Arm's image, clear as day in this carousel.

I don't think anyone is going to get rich off of this, but that doesn't explain why anyone things it's an OK thing to do.
