Jessica Jones Makes Her Ass-Kicking Return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Trailer: Watch

The first season of Daredevil: Born Again was a welcome return to the gritty tone of Marvel’s Defenders series (originally produced for Netflix) and the Season 2 trailer indicates that Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) might be pushed farther than ever before. There are also unexpected touches of surreality scattered throughout this first teaser trailer, which spotlights the return of Krysten Ritter as the hard-punching/hard-drinking Jessica Jones, who once again has no patience for Matt’s drama.

According to the official synopsis, in Season 2 “Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.”

The new trailer also spotlights Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page getting some intimate moments with Matt, and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin hopping into the boxing ring. Ayelet Zurer, Wilson Bethel, and Margarita Levieva are also confirmed to be returning for the second season, and Matthew Lillard joins the cast as “the mysterious Mr. Charles.”
