Jimmy Kimmel Offers Trump One of His Own Awards If He Pulls ICE Out of Minneapolis

If there’s one thing Donald Trump loves, it’s unrestrained praise and the trinkets that go with it. Throughout his second term, world leaders have taken to showering him with gifts in an effort to curry favor; Apple’s CEO even went so far as to present him with a custom-made plaque after Trump threatened to slap tariffs on the company. On Thursday, Venezuela’s opposition leader María Corina Machado followed suit by presenting Trump with the Nobel Peace Prize he’s long coveted. To be clear, Machado was the actual winner of the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, and the honor is non-transferable. But in hopes of securing US support for her bid to become Venezuela’s new leader, she literally gifted him her medal.

Jimmy Kimmel wonders if similar actions can be taken to get ICE out of Minneapolis. As such, during last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, he came up with his own offer.

“Trump loves awards. He really loves giving him an award; it’s the only way to get him to do anything. And with that said, Mr. President, I have an offer I think you’re going to find difficult to refuse,” Kimmel stated. “If, and only if, you agree to pull ICE out of Minneapolis and put them back at the borders where they belong, I am prepared to offer you one of the following trophies that I have been honored with over the years.”

Kimmel then showed off some of the awards Trump could choose from: “First off, the daytime Emmy I won for best game show host in 1999—that could be yours. Or perhaps you would prefer my Clio Award for my work selling crap to people. Or my Webby Award, the most prestigious award the internet can give. Or my Writer’s Guild Award; this is a good one, you can see it looks nice. Or best of all, I’m willing to hand over my 2015 Soul Train Award for White Person of the Year. If you do this, the choice is yours.”

“I will personally deliver any or even all of these to the Oval Office in exchange for leaving the people of Minneapolis alone,” Kimmel concluded.
