John Mellencamp Announces 2026 “Dancing Words” Greatest Hits Tour

John Mellencamp has announced a 2026 tour, which will take place across 19 US cities this summer.

Dubbed “Dancing Words Tour — The Greatest Hits,” the trek kicks off on July 10th in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with subsequent stops in Kansas City, Cincinnati, Tampa, Houston, and Phoenix. See the full schedule below.

Fans can gain early access through an artist pre-sale (sign up here), which kicks off on Wednesday, January 21st at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. The general on-sale will follow on Friday, January 23rd at the same time.

The setlist for the “Dancing Words Tour” promises to include Mellencamp’s best-known songs, including “Pink Houses,” “Jack and Diane,” “Small Town,” “Hurts So Good,” “Authority Song,” and “Key West Intermezzo (I Saw You First).” These will be nestled alongside tracks he hasn’t performed in over a decade, such as“R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.,” “I Need a Lover,” “Wild Nights,” and “Ain’t Even Done With the Night.”
