Kacey Musgraves Ignites the Stage in Boston, Literally

Kacey Musgraves lit the stage on fire at her Friday concert at Boston’s TD Garden, and that’s no metaphor. During the third stop of her “Middle of Nowhere Tour,” a small fire broke out, fan video showed, on scaffolding above the stage after a performance of her song “Golden Hour,” which funny enough features the lyrics “Baby don’t you know/ That you’re my golden hour/ The color of my sky/ You set my world on fire.” Get Kacey Musgraves Tickets Here The fire was likely started by some sparkler-like pyrotechnics, but the country music singer was able to joke off the little blaze. “That looks bad,” she jokingly said. “I have way too much hairspray to be standing under that shit.” She told the crowd a story about how spending time alone while making her latest album gave her anxiety. “So does that,” she quipped, looking up at the fire. “I only like pyro when I know what the hell’s going to happen,” she told the bemused crowd. “Does anyone have a bedazzled fire extinguisher anywhere?” The fire only caused a momentary, humorous distraction from the show and Musgraves finished out the 23-song set.
