In addition to London jazz collective KOKOROKO, multi-instrumentalist Shabaka, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea, who will primarily play trumpet alongside his band, Burna Boy, DJ Pee .Wee (aka Anderson .Paak), Robert Glasper, The RH Factor, Terence Blanchard & Ravi Coltrane, Christian McBride Trio, Joe Armon-Jones, SML, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Emma Rawicz are set to perform at the festival.
French-American vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant has also been confirmed as this year’s Artist In Residence, and will perform a different set on each day of the festival.
The new acts join previously announced artists including Charlie Puth, The Roots, John Legend, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, The Isley Brothers, Jon Batiste, Questlove, Joy Crookes and Annie & The Caldwells.
The festival’s programme also features leading names in contemporary jazz, such as Cassandra Wilson, Charles Lloyd Quartet, Esperanza Spalding, Joshua Redman with his Quartet, Nils Petter Molvær’s Khmer, Steve Coleman & Five Elements, Sun Ra Arkestra, Hiromi's Sonicwonder, Pat Metheny, Amaro Freitas Trio, Bill Frisell Trio & Greg Tardy, Diana Krall, James Brandon Lewis Quartet, Adrian Younge, Alex Isley, Asaf Avidan, Carrtoons, Mei Semonos, Patricia Brennen, Riley, and Sienna Spiro. It will also feature several large-scale and collaborative projects across the three days.
