Kraftwerk Announce 50th Anniversary Reissue of Radio-Activity

4 hours ago 2

Kraftwerk are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their 1975 album Radio-Activity with a special edition reissue in three formats: Blu-ray, vinyl, and digital.

All three versions will arrive on May 15th. Known as Kraftwerk’s first all-electronic album, Radio-Activity has been given a new Dolby Atmos mix for the Blu-ray and digital 50th anniversary editions. In addition to special edition artwork, the Blu-ray will also feature a 5.1 mix (re-rendered from the Dolby Atmos Mix) and a Stereo mix of the band’s 2009 remaster.

As for the vinyl, the record will arrive on a 12-inch picture disc with Kraftwerk’s 2009 remastered audio (see the vinyl’s artwork below). The digital edition, featuring the Dolby Atmos mix, will land on all major music streaming platforms. Pre-orders for each of Radio-Activity’s 50th anniversary editions are available here.

Kraftwerk will also be launching a UK and Ireland tour — their first in over nine years — to commemorate Radio-Activity this spring and summer. The 17-date run commences in Dublin on May 17th and follows a large run of tour dates in Asia; the UK and Ireland tour will conclude on June 9th in Edinburgh, after which Kraftwerk will continue through Europe for a handful more shows. See their international tour dates below and get tickets here.
