UK pop queen Lily Allen roared back into the headlines with the release of last year's messy, brilliant breakup album West End Girl, and she's on a big North American tour right now. She's doing great! But performing at Radio City Music Hall is hard work, and it's probably a lot easier to make a few hundred bucks by sending someone a quick video message. Perhaps that's why Lily Allen is back on Cameo.
Allen announced her return to Cameo, the site where celebrities and celebrity-esque figures send gift greetings to whoever you want, with a quick video. In the clip, she says, "Hi! It's me! Lily Allen! On Cameo! So happy to be here. I'm very excited to be available to give your friends, family, business associates shoutouts. Your wish is my command. Ask me to do some dumb shit, and I will do that dumb shit." Her page includes a few examples, most of which involve her singing happy birthday to people but some of which feature her announcing the recipients of possibly-fake awards.
Right now, there's a waiting list for Allen's Cameo services. (She's quite busy, after all.) But according to The Daily Mail, Allen's Cameo messages now cost £376.50, or about $507. This puts Allen in the extreme upper tier of Cameo prices — above Ice-T, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Kenny G, Lance Bass, the Rizzler, Ric Flair, Chris Carraba, or Happy Gilmore villain Shooter McGavin. But it's less than Snoop Dogg, who charges $5,000 for his videos. The Daily Mail claims that this is a significant markup from 2021, the last time Allen was on Cameo, when she charged £187. I'm glad a reputable news source is keeping track of this kind of thing.
Right now, you can join Lily Allen's waitlist or send her a message for the low, low price of $5.99. Check it out here.
