Lorde Celebrates “City Life and Horniness” on New Single “Hammer”: Stream

Lorde has released “Hammer,” the third and final single from her upcoming album, Virgin.

“Hammer” was written by Lorde and producer Jim-E Stack, and serves as the album opener for Virgin. Speaking about the track on Instagram, Lorde called it “an ode to city life and horniness tbh.”

Virgin will arrive in full on June 27th, marking Lorde’s first full-length album since 2021’s Solar Power. Before “Hammer,” the New Zealand-born pop star dropped the comeback single “What Was That” — which Consequence named as one of the best songs of 2025 so far. She followed up with “Man of the Year” last month.
