Lucy Dacus has announced that she is "clearing the decks for whatever is next". The result of this clearing is Forever Is A Feeling: The Archives, a companion album to Forever Is A Feeling, released back in March. The new collection will include demos, live recordings, and new versions of released songs, in addition to unheard material.
Forever Is A Feeling marks Dacus' major label debut as a solo artist. Following its release, she went on to tour the album through the US, Canada, the UK and Europe.
Dacus has detailed that Forever Is A Feeling: The Archives will feature a wedding version of "Best Guess", which she has played while officiating marriages for couples at shows, a live recording of "Bullseye" with Hozier at Radio City, a new song titled "Losing", a phone demo of "Ankles", "Talk" recorded live at Red Rocks Ampitheatre, a cover of Jim Croce's "Time In A Bottle", an extended cut of "Lost Time", previously released "Bus Back To Richmond" and "More Than Friends", and a demo of "The Most Hated Man In West Tennessee".
Dacus is due to speak at Los Angeles' GRAMMY museum tonight about the creative process behind Forever Is A Feeling, with a special performance to follow. She will then be supporting Billie Eilish on her Hit Me Hard And Soft tour, before playing a short set of dates in Australia in early 2026.
