Metal Church Announce New Album Dead to Rights

Metal Church have announced their 13th studio album, Dead to Rights, arriving April 10th via Rat Pak Records.

The announcement follows the release of the lead single “F.A.F.O.” back in November, one of 10 songs on the tracklist.

Produced by founding guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof, Dead to Rights is the first Metal Church album by the group’s revamped lineup featuring ex-Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, who joined in 2025. The rest of the quintet is rounded out by longtime guitarist Rick Van Zandt, drummer Ken Mary, and new vocalist Brian Allen (ex-Vicious Rumors, Last Empire).

“This new album is very special to me for one reason: the band was over, and I honestly didn’t see it being resurrected,” Vanderhoof said in a press release. “But somehow, it brought itself back to life — again!”

He continued, “I’m incredibly proud of these new songs; they hit hard. Brian Allen brings the classic Metal Church sound to the vocals, and adding a rhythm section with musicians of the caliber of Dave Ellefson and Ken Mary makes this a force to be reckoned with.
